Another controversial point is the use of different numbers in nicknames. I do not understand at all why register a nickname like: dima2010 or dima2011... If you are planning a nickname for long-term use and want to make it your own, copyright, then imagine how obsolete it will be in five years ...

Also, I do not understand who uses the numbers from the region of their city in the nickname. For example, dima48 ( Lipetsk - Region 48). And what if you move to live in another city, and the nickname with the same number remains. It's another matter when numbers are used in a nickname, for example, the year of birth: dima90 or dima85. In other words, your birthday is your constant date, your constant stable numbers that will not change. Surely, such nicknames will be busy, but not a fact.

So I propose the following algorithm for choosing a nickname:

• check if the user has a nickname derived from the name (for example, Dima - dimantos);
• if there is, then substitute the last digits of your year of birth (for example, dimantos95);
• if there is such a user, try to exclude or change any letter (for example, dimtos);
• if this is also busy, then try to add numbers to the resulting word (for example, dimtos95);
• I don't like it, but still: it's okay if your nickname contains some punctuation marks (a little, and only those that are well remembered (for example, dimantos-dimantos, dimantos.dimantos).

As you can see, in any case, you can find something optimal for yourself and it is not at all necessary to use long badly remembered nicknames. The ideal number of characters in a nickname should not exceed 10 characters, or even less. Imagine how difficult and long you will have to say your mail to a friend or type a similar nickname on a computer or phone.
